Born
in Hammond, Louisiana, Dr. Matt Jacocks graduated in
1984 from Centenary College with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He then went to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, where
he graduated in 1988 with his DVM degree.
Dr. Jacocks is a past president of the Southeastern Louisiana
Veterinary Medical Association, past president of the SAF and
is currently a member of the Southeastern Louisiana Veterinary Medical
Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. He is a past president
of the Jefferson SPCA and a volunteer for the Big Brothers program.
Dr. Jacocks was awarded the Golden Paw Award in 2000 for his
volunteer work at the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter and on
the SNIP Van.
He lives in River Ridge with his daughter, Piper. He has 1 dog
and 5 cats.
